Shannon Dawn Reader's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, daughter, and friend, Shannon Dawn Reader, who left us far too soon at the age of 30 on September 5th, 2024.
Born on March 22nd, 1994 in West Covina, California, Shannon lived a life filled with love, kindness, and compassion. She was a radiant soul who touched the lives of everyone she met with her infectious laughter and generous spirit. Whether she was lending a listening ear, offering a comforting embrace, or simply sharing a smile, she had an extraordinary way of making people feel seen and loved.
A person of remarkable strength and courage, Shannon faced life’s challenges with fierce determination. Her passion for her pets, her love of creativity, music and outdoor recreation was a reflection of her vibrant personality. She always strived to make the world a little brighter for those around her. She cherished moments spent with family and friends and was a source of joy and warmth in the lives of those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by Payten Rose(daughter), Vernon Gary Nelson(grandpa), Rene Reader and Bill Sheves(grandma and step grandpa), Sandra Pride(great aunt), Donald R Reader(grandpa), Ryan Taylor(cousin).
Shannon is survived by parents Donald Reader, Tracy Reader and Justin "Shaggy" Mathis, sisters Marie Piña Clark, Ashley Wilkinson, Tiffany Singh, brother, Donny Reader, Aunt Terre Nelson, nephews Hayden Reader and Oliver Clark, niece Emery Edwards and grandparents Richard and Sherry Given.
Though her time with us was brief, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on in our hearts forever.
A celebration of Shannon’s life will be held at Carondelet Park, Quarry Pavilion in St. Louis, MO on September 28th, 2024 11-4. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the family to support the unanticipated expenses.
While our grief is deep, we take comfort in knowing that Shannon now rests peacefully, surrounded by light and love. She will forever be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the beautiful way she brightened our lives.
