Shane Andrew Toenjes' Obituary
Shane was preceded in death by his grandfather: John T. Bogacki Jr. He is survived by his parents: Michael and Catherine Toenjes of Millstadt, IL., sisters and brothers: Allison Toenjes of Valmeyer, IL., Wade Toenjes (fiance: Jennifer McWilliams) of Valley Park, MO., Tiffany (Brian) Markus of Chesterfield, MO., and Brett Toenjes of Millstadt, IL. His grandmother: Edwina Bogacki of Belleville, IL., and his grandfather and grandmother: George and Luella Toenjes of Millstadt, IL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Shane was a lover of life! He lived each day to the fullest enjoying time with his friends in the country, his dog Flash, and playing cards with his family. Shane had a heart of gold and would do anything for his friends and family. Shane had a great passion for the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt. The only thing to get Shane up at 4 am in sub-freezing temperatures, was to go duck or goose hunting. He was also a talented athlete and enjoyed playing baseball for Belleville West and in the Mon-Clair league for Waterloo & Belleville . Shane made the most out of his short life and those who met him never forgot him. He planned legendary float trips and barbeques with his friends. Whatever Shane was a part of, became a memorable event in time. Shane will be sadly missed by his family and friends, but he will be in our hearts and memories for a lifetime. Shane we love you and we will never forget you. At Shane's request, cremation will be held following the services.
