Samuel Elmer Axe, 71 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family following an extended illness. He was born in Dupo, IL, the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Haskenhoff) Axe. He had been the owner and operator of S & S Electronics in Millstadt, IL, and was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Dupo, IL. He was married to Shirley (Mehrtens) Axe, who survives him. They were married on June 1, 1969, at Millstadt, IL.
