Ruth S. Schneider, 78, of Columbia, IL, passed away at Columbia Convalescent Center, Columbia, IL. She was born in Columbia, IL, the daughter of the late Walter and Alma (Wirth) Metter. Ruth was a member of the St. Clair County Farm Bureau (Past Farm Woman of the Year Award recipient), Bluff Grange, Past-Treasurer for the FFA Alumni, and Honorary Member of the FFA, Zion Evangelical Church, Millstadt, IL, and past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was married to Lloyd Schneider for 46 years, who survives her. They were married on April 25, 1964, at Millstadt, IL.
