Russ' family is in my prayers and thoughts as I extend my deepest sympathies. I will always remember Russ with a smile in my heart. He made me laugh and was there to lend a helping hand when you needed it most. Thank you Russ for all the smiles you gave so freely.

My prayers and thoughts are with you during these difficult times. Know that God will never leave you. He will have his angels surround you with love. May God bless and keep you.
Russell was a very nice person. You couldn't ask for a nicer person. He was very pleasant. I remember when I first met him and his family at St. Patrick Church. The family is in my prayers. God Bless
I am deeply saddened at Russell's passing from us. He was a good man, a thoughtful man, a man of genuine faith. May the grace shared by God through Russell remain with us and grow in us. May his family experience the assurance of Resurrection and the fullness of life in their grief.
Lara,
I'm not sure you will remember me, but when I read George's notice about Russell's death I immediately thought of our time together in class at Aquinas. Please know of my prayer for you, your family and Russell as you mourn his passing and celebrate his life. May God's tender mercy embrace each of you with comfort.
Peace,
Ginger, RSM
Dear Lara
It is with my deepest sorrow of hearing of Russell's passing. He will surely be missed he did leave a legacy here after his leaving our little part of the world. I pray that time will soften your sorrow for both you and your children.
God Bless and take care.

My Dear Peterson Family,
My heart broke upon hearing the news of Russ' passing. He was such an inspiration to me when I became Coordinator of Religious Education at St. Mary, Trenton. He gave me ideas, techniques, wisdom and most of all courage to get through my first year as a fill in for the parish 4 years ago. Since then, through his encouragement I've stayed on as CRE as Russ moved on from his position at the diocese to fulfill his life with his loving family that he spoke so very often about. Must say he was very proud of his wife and children.
Russ loved life, loved God and his Catholic faith and but most of all his family. May you find peace within your heart knowing Russ is with Jesus and God and is helping so many others through his donation of life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Respectfully yours,
Mrs. Kim Moss

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this sad and difficult time. I knew Russ from the Belleville Diocese. What a wonderful person he was. He was always there to answer questions or help out with anything that was needed. A deeply spiritual person. God called this angel home.
I so appreciated Russell and his approach to catechetical leadership. Will miss him at national and regional gatherings of catechetical ministers. Rest in peace, Russell; and condolences to all family and friends.
