Russell Julius Amann's Obituary
Russell Julius Amann, 73 years of Prairie Du Rocher, IL, passed away on July 23, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Town and Country, MO. He was born July 17, 1944 in Belleville, IL.
Russell was a Journeyman Electrician and a proud member of the IBEW Local 309, Board of Directors of Fountain Water District, Past President of the Randolph County Saddle Club, he also coached Little Musket Football. Russell loved horses and was a long time breeder. He was a proud veteran of the Air Force Reserves.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Amann, nee Kimmel, his two sons, James Amann, Rusty Amann; Six Grandchildren, Casey Amann, Rachel Amann, Dylan Amann, Brennan Amann, Bryce Amann, Lexi Amann; Brother, Leonard Amann, Jr.; his three Sisters, Dottie (Jim) Normand, Raejean Lutz, Ann (Rick) Broadhurst, along with many other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Florence, nee Kurtz, Amann, Sr.; his father and mother-in-law, James (Jeanette) Kimmel; his brother, Robert Amann; & his great-grandchild, Hunter Amann.
Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2017, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL, and Saturday, July 29, 2017, 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Renault, IL. Services will be held , Saturday July 29, 201710:00 AM, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Renault IL with Father John Kizhakedan, officiating. Interment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens Of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
