Ruby M King's Obituary
Ruby M. King, nee Cobb 93 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025 at Oak Hill Care Center, Waterloo, IL. She was born April 1, 1931, in Steele, MO.
Ruby was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, IL where she loved serving the Lord. She enjoyed a variety of activities including; quilting, sewing, gardening and reading. She was a loving and devoted mother to all of her children, especially her special needs son, Bobby.
Surviving are her daughter, Rita Blevins Kruse of Selmer, TN., her daughter, Debra (Gary) Clement of Columbia, IL, her daughter, Lorie (Dennis) Weaver of Park Hills, MO, and her son, Bob King of Columbia, IL, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren, her daughter-in-law, Gail King of O'Fallon, IL, daughter-in-law, Angie King of Columbia, IL., and daughter-in-law, Sheila King, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie & Bessie, nee Vaughn, Cobb, husband Charlie King, her sons, Larry King, Allen King & Ronnie King, her sons-in-law, Doug Blevins and Richard Kruse; 10 brothers & 1 Sister.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, IL.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:00 am at Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, IL., with Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating.
Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia, IL.
