Roy E. Illert Sr.'s Obituary
Roy E. Illert Sr., 82 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Tri City Chaplaincy in Kennewick, WA. He was born February 24, 1935, in Dupo, IL. He was married to late Jean L. Illert, nee Schneider, she passed away March 2, 2017.
Roy was a member of the Columbia Blue Lodge #474 A.F. & A.M. Columbia, Ill., and the Ainad Shriner's. He was a former member of the Columbia and Waterloo Sportsmen's Clubs. He was an avid gardener and woodworker.
Roy was a retired design engineer from John Ramming Machine Co. in St. Louis, MO.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Florence, nee Klamp, Illert, and his son, Roy Illert Jr.
Surviving are daughter, Pam (Harold) Tilden of West Richland, WA, grandchildren, Tad (Lindsey) Tilden, Jeana Tilden and Brett Illert.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 9:00 am - 11:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL, with Rev. Matthew Friz, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
