Rose Mary Piantanida's Obituary
Rose Mary Piantanida, nee Peskar, 88 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on December 8, 2018 at Oak Hill Care Center in Waterloo, IL. She was born December 2, 1930, in East Saint Louis, IL.
During her working years Rose Mary worked as an Office Assistant for Drs. Szewczyk, Szewczyk & Basinski in Belleville, IL, and at Gossard-Artemis in Millstadt, IL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving are two Sons, Paul (Nancy) Piantanida, Robert Piantanida; four Daughters, Brigette (Mark) Wittenborn, Suzette (William/Bill) Weldon, Lizette (Scott) Poston, Annette (Tony) Tajkarimi; three Sisters, Patricia Seidl, Janet (Richard "Dick") Boyle, Ceclia "Cece" (Brian) Weir; Sister-in-Law, Virginia McMillian; four Grandsons, Adam Piantanida, Phillip Poston, Kaivon Tajkarimi, Sam Weldon; three Granddaughters, Tiffany (Dan) Zeller, Stephanie Piantanida, Serena Tajkarimi; step-grandaughter, Holly Robbins; step-granddaughter, Jamie (Matthew) Sodko; two Great-Grandchildren, Vanessa Zeller, Cameron Zeller; three Step-Great grandchilds, Brendan Sodko, Brier Sodko, Addison Robbins; along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Paul "Sonny" E. Piantanida; Father, Frederick Peskar; Mother, Rosalie Luksza Peskar; Sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Szewczyk; Father and Mother-in-Law, Edward (Ann) Piantanida; Brothers and Sisters-in-Law, Frank Seidl, Dr. Edward Szewczyk, Mary Ann (Edward) Goetz and Ken McMillian.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL,. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at St. James, with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, IL.
