Rosalie M Montgomery's Obituary
Rosalie M. Montgomery, 44, of Red Bud, IL, died December 30, 2025. She was born June 3, 1981, in Red Bud to John A. and Eunice Wiatr.
Rosalie graduated from St. John’s Lutheran School and Red Bud High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology and master’s degree in data analytics from Western Governors University. For 20+ years she lived in Chicago, returning to Red Bud in 2023. She enjoyed cats, reading, and travel. Rosalie was a dedicated caregiver to her parents and others.
She is survived by her father, John; siblings Amy (Ariel) Wiatr-Rodriguez, Ted (Amanda) Wiatr, and Maria (Robert)Aucoin; nieces and nephew Kayli and Max Wiatr and Josephine and Margot Aucoin; former spouse Joseph Montgomery along with many other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Wiatr, and grandparents, John S. and Rose Wiatr and Theodore and Amelia Guebert.
Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Winkelmann officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Red Bud, with a luncheon to follow at the church's fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to the Anti Cruelty Society or LINC Inc.
