Ronnie Lee Hampton's Obituary
Ronnie Lee Hampton, 88 years of Waterloo, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Cedarhurst of Waterloo, Waterloo, IL. He was born September 20, 1937, in Carterville, IL, to the late Leon Hampton and the late Sally Jones.
Ronnie enjoyed anything that he could do outdoors but especially hunting and fishing. He was a retired boilermaker and a member of local #363 for over 40 years. He also enjoyed music, mostly country. He didn't just listen to music, he liked to sing as well, and was said to have a pretty good voice.
Surviving are his children, Rachel (Roger) Schubert, of Millstadt, Ron (Tara) Hampton of Millstadt, grandchildren, Amelia (Jeremy) Pour, Libby Schuhardt, Paige (DawsonBerry) Hampton, Isabelle Hampton, great-grandchildren, Weston Pour, Noah Pour, Charlotte Pour, Ellianna Berry, Hattie Berry and Vivienne Berry, along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Hampton Berry and a sister, Patty Kraniewski.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no public services.
