Ronald Ray Schmitz's Obituary
Ronald Ray Schmitz, 82 years of Waterloo, IL, passed away on April 13, 2023 at De Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, MO. He was born March 4, 1941, in Saint Louis, MO.
Ron worked as a Security Supervisor at Biomerieux after retiring as an Investigator for St. Louis County Police Department.
He was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church, Millstadt, IL. During his free time he loved wood working and building his train village.
Surviving are his children, Marilyn (Mike) Kampschroeder, Ron (Cynthia) Schmitz, Jr.,and Tammy Schmitz, his three grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Bettie (Michael) Rose, his brother-in-law, Jim (Connie) Smith, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Schmitz; mother, Maxine Helen Schmitz and his wife Brenda Lue Schmitz.
Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2023, 10:00 am - 11:45 am, at Leesman Funeral Home Millstadt, IL. Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood, Missouri with Pastor Steve Coy officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood, Missouri.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to New Covenant Fellowship Church, 720 S. Illinois St, 62260.
