Ronald E. Parres, 72, of Columbia, Ill., born, February 7, 1942, in St. Louis, MO., passed away, Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Mr. Parres was a pipefitter for Plummers and Pipefitters Local 101 in Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Parres was preceded in death by his parents, Lenny & Mildred, nee Morris, Parres, his sister, Karen Schuster, sister-in-law, Cheryl Poehler and father-in-law, Allan Winter.
Mr. Parres is survived by his wife, Kathy Parres, nee Winter, his children, Cindy Downing, Tracy Parres, Ronald E. Parres Jr. & Tammy Simons, his mother-in-law, Jane Winter, his grandchildren, Payton & A.J. Downing, Gavin Parres, Kristy & Joey Parres & Rachel Simons, his brothers, Michael Parres & Leslie Parres. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
Memorial Service will be Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Friz, officiating.
At Mr. Parres’ request, cremation was held.
