Ronald Gene Keim's Obituary
Ronald Gene Keim, 81 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on January 20, 2023 at River Crossing of Edwardsville, Edwardsville, IL. He was born February 28, 1941, in East St. Louis, IL.
Ronald worked at Millstadt Enterprise and the St. Louis Post Dispatch from 1960-2003. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Knights of Columbus, and the CWA Local 6300.
Surviving are his children, Allan (Janice) Keim, Jennifer (Kevin) Stumpf, David (Danielle) Keim, and Theresa (Bruce) Pickert, his grandchildren, Jennifer (Ray) Frame, Matthew (Jennifer) Stumpf, Derrick (Katelyn) Stumpf, Lanette Stumpf, Samantha Keim (fiancé Clayton Cain), Kelsey Reynolds (significant other Chris Clark) and Drew Reynolds, his great grandchildren, Blake & Haley Frame, Elliott Stumpf, Paityn & Jaxson Stumpf and Caiden Clark, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine "Geri" Marie Keim, nee Frederick, his mother Esther Keim-Vogel, father, Ralph Keim, his step-father, Albert Vogel, his sister Bernice (Richard) Fichter, and a brother Walter (Dorothy) Keim.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL., and on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL., with Fr. Marvin Volk, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Vitas Hospice, 16 Executive Dr. Ste 100, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
