Rolland L. Muskopf's Obituary
Rolland L. Muskopf, 84 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on June 20, 2018 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born January 24, 1934, in Belleville, IL. He was married to Marian "Mary", nee Steffenauer, Muskopf, who survives him. They were married August 8, 1953, in Columbia, IL.
Rolland was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 268, and the Columbia Gymnastic Association. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, as well as having been an exceptional baseball player in his youth, a professional scout once made the observation that Rolland could have been in the pro's, as he was that talented. Rolland was a former member of the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department, with 20 yrs. of service.
Also surviving are his sons, Michael (Annissa) Muskopf of Comfort, TX, Terry (Scarlett) Muskopf of Overland Park, KS, Timothy (Jeana) Muskopf of Columbia, IL, Mark (Beth) Muskopf of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Chelsea (Trey) Tieken, Elizabeth and Elaina Muskopf; sister, Florine Schmidt of Millstadt, IL; brother, Wayne Muskopf of Millstadt, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Roland and Wilhelmina "Minnie", nee Schultz, Muskopf, along with a son, Steve Muskopf.
Rolland was cremated according to his wishes. There will be no public services
