Roland H. Dannenberg's Obituary
Roland H. Dannenberg, 75 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on November 19, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born August 8, 1950, in Red Bud to the late Albert H and Lillian, nee, Blumenschein, Dannenberg.
Roland, or "Rollie" as most people knew him, was a very loving father and grandfather. He was a very hard worker who spent most of his time working, whether it be farming or running Susie's restaurant. He was very eager to share his Lutheran faith with whoever he could.
Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Susie Dannenberg, daughter, Bethany (Nathan) Kinney, daughter-in-law Amy Dannenberg, grandchildren, Eva Kinney, Dillon Dannenberg and Dalton Dannenberg, sister, Carol Roth, brother, Donald (Kathy) Dannenberg, sisters-in-law, Jeanie (Marvin) Stellhorn and Cindy Schnepel, along with several other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, son, Matthew Dannenberg, grandson, Mason Kinney and brothers-in-law, Don Roth and Allen Schnepel.
Visitation will be Saturday, November, 22, 2025, from 4pm to 8 pm at Leesman Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL. Services will be Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 2 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud, IL, with Pastor Scott Hojnacki officiating. There will be one hour visitation prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud, 10235 S. Prairie Rd., Red Bud.
