Roger Richard DuBois US Air Force retired's Obituary
Roger was preceded in death by his parents: Albert & Dorothy, nee Parks, DuBois, his brothers: Arthur DuBois and Albert Francis DuBois and a grandson: Travis Scott DuBois. He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Patricia A. DuBois, nee Robertson, his sister: Patricia Greaves of Sanford, Maine, his sons: Roger DuBois Jr., Mark DuBois and Shaun DuBois, his step-sons: Kelly Fuchs of Gulfport, Miss., Richard (Karen) Fuchs of Belleville, IL., and Russell (Shannon) Fuchs of Maryland Heights, MO., his grandchildren: Matthew DuBois, Nicholas DuBois and Brandon DuBois all of Biddeford, Maine, Seairra Fuchs, Destiny Fuchs and Gabrielle Fuchs all of Belleville, IL., Sierra Plume and Owen Emil Fuchs of Maryland Heights, MO., he is also survived by other relatives & friends. Roger retired from the United States Air Force at the rank of Tech Sgt. after 20 years of service. He then worked for 13 years in the Civil Service. While in the Military he spent 4 months in Saigon and he spent 4 months as a French interpreter with SUN DOG FACS. He flew 82 combat missions, he received the Air Medal with three clusters, the Air Force Longevity Commendation Medal, he recieved a Ribbon for the Outstanding Unit Award, he also recieved the V for Valor Ribbon, the Army and Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Ribbon. He was a life member of the VFW Post and a member of the American Legion Post. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Winstanley Baptist Church Building fund, or Belleville Area Humane Society.
