Rodney Dean Godier's Obituary
Rodney Dean Godier, 66 years of Prairie Du Rocher, Illinois, passed away on October 5, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1956, in Red Bud, Illinios.
He worked for Gilster- Mary Lee for 40 years as a fabricator. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his electric bike, taking his 1970 Chevelle and Jeep out for drives, gardening, but most of all spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Jeremy) Buckshot of Prairie Du Rocher, his three grandchildren, Brayden, Aleigha, and Joseph, his siblings, Rick Godier of Prairie Du Rocher, Donny (Arlene) Godier of Prairie Du Rocher, Michelle (Jim) Weber of Prairie Du Rocher, Treva McDonough of Chester, Dan (Susie) Godier of Hecker, and Renee (Bill) Hiedel of Crossville, Tennessee, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Godier; mother, Betty Godier; and brother, Tim Godier;
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Southern Illinois 305 So. Illinois St., Belleville, Il 62220 .
