Robert W. Brainerd Jr.'s Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W Brainerd, Sr., and his mother Charlotte Wohlgemuth. Surviving are sisters, Shirley (Fred) Casillas of Overland Park, Kansas, Robyn (Gary) Gross, and Kathleen Nehring, of St. Louis, Missouri. Nieces and nephews, Melanie (Ron) Fahrner, Michael Nehring, Kaitlin, Joshua and Christine Gross. Also surviving are his Uncle Gaines Nash, Aunts Joan Brainerd and Lin (David) Bryant, cousins and great-nephews. Those he loved dearly, Heather, Tera, Aleshia, Michelle, Missy, Danny, Nicole, Elizabeth and Breana. Very dear and special friends, Jim, Tina, Chas, Jake, John, Bill, Tony, Felicia and Wayne. Bob left footprints - huge footprints - in all of our lives. He achieved success here because he lived well, laughed often and loved much. He was a retired, self-employed auto mechanic and also serviced small boats at Table Rock Lake. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Wasp. For many years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Eagles Lodge #4278, Cape Fair, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to the National Emphysema Foundation, 128 East Ave, Norwalk, CT, 06851, or a charity of your choice.
