Robert L. Stumpf's Obituary
Robert L. Stumpf, 91 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born September 17, 1932, in Columbia, IL.
Robert was retired from Phillips Pipeline Co. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL., Millstadt Union Fire Company and where he served as a former Fire Chief, VFW Post #7980 in Millstadt, IL, Columbia Blue Lodge #474 A.F. & A. M. and the Scottish Rite. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling to Florida .
Surviving are his son, Mark Alan (Erin) Stumpf, his daughter, Barbara Lynn Scharf, his 3 grandchildren, Lindsey Scharf (Travis Siliven), Ashleigh (Brian) Kondracki, and Mallory (Zachary) Timmermann, great grandchildren, Kayleigh & Zayden Kondracki, and Everett & Mabry Timmermann, his brother, Dale E. (Carol) Stumpf, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn F., nee Werner, Stumpf, his parents, Alfred and Ruth, nee Offerman, Stumpf, his brother, Harold D. Stumpf, and his sister, Jo Ann Riebling.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL., and on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 an hour before the service at the church. There will be a VFW service followed by a Fire Department service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Il., with Rev. Darrell Weber, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, Illinois.
