Robert "Bobby" Pfershy's Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Pfershy, 56, of Swansea, IL, passed away very peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. He was born June 1, 1965, in Belleville, IL.
Bobby worked for A. O. Smith in Granite City, IL., for 20 years and later worked for Custom Marble in Millstadt, IL. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, he enjoyed sports and watching the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues and the St. Louis Rams. He also loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his mother, Doris Pfershy, nee Kosydor, his brothers and sisters, Ernie (Mary Ann) Pfershy, Marlene (John) Kostelac, Marilyn Alberter (friend, Harlan), Barbie Pfershy, Steve Pfershy, Karla Mueth, Tom (Michelle) Pfershy and Jim (Kim) Pfershy, his very best friend, Dustin Thomure, he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kelly Pfershy, who passed away on April 6, 2019, his father, Ernest J. Pfershy, his brother-in-law, Bing Alberter and his niece, Jodi Alberter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL, and on Thursday, July 15, 2021, 9:00 am - 10:00 am, at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday July 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL., with Msgr. Marvin C. Volk and Deacon Ronald Karcher, officiating. Private burial for immediate family will be in the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to American Heart Association, 460 N.
