Robert Paul Myers' Obituary
Robert Paul Myers (“Bobro”), 71, of Clearwater, FL, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2025. He was born on July 13th, 1954, in Belleville, Illinois. Growing up on Hill Castle Road in Columbia, Illinois. Bob went on to be known as a kind-hearted man that would do anything for his friends and family, and a smile that was infectious.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Debbie Myers (nee Campo). Together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family and travel celebrating every moment to the fullest.
He was the proud father of three sons: Justin (Samantha) Myers, Jared (Taoues) Myers and Jeff (Trisha) Barrett - each who will carry on his legacy of living life to the fullest and his deep love of family. He was an admired Grandpa to his 7 grandchildren: Brooklyn, Greyson, Tanner, Noah, Skylar, Landyn and Seagyn who brought him so much pride and joy.
Bob is also survived by his 3 brothers, Charlie Myers, Rick Myers and Ed (Ann) Myers; mother-in-law Christine Campo (nee Burtz); brothers in law David (Angie) Campo, Craig (Pam Campo), Terry Campo, and Todd (Theresa) Campo, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elmer and Colleen (nee Sumey) Myers.
From a young age Bob was a natural salesman. He spent 35+ years selling cars in the Metro-East St. Louis area, where he had a passion for cars and helping friends and family. There’s a good chance if you lived in Monroe County, you purchased a vehicle from Bob. He also spent years working in the carpentry union, where he assisted in constructing the Jefferson Barracks Bridge.
Bob was always living life to the fullest, with a smile on his face and the ability to always make people feel welcome. He had a love for going on vacations (Vacation Bob’s Travel), attending concerts, listening to classic rock music, classic cars, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and taking golf cart rides to microbreweries. Additionally, he would love to take an afternoon nap in his recliner while watching an episode of Gunsmoke.
A loving Son, Brother, Father and Husband who will be dearly missed. Happy Trails.
