Robert L. Worden's Obituary
Robert was born to Wallace & Madeline, nee Thompson, Worden. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Hazel Harbour and his brothers: Wallace & Lawrence. He married Annette, nee Driskill, Worden in 1955. He is survived by four sons: William of Waterloo, IL., Charles of Millstadt, IL., Seth (Ana) of Carlsbad, CA., & Daniel (Dianne) of Waterloo, IL. Robert received the Silverstar for heroism in the European Theater of World War II. He also received 2 bronze stars. In civilian life he was employed in Security for the State of Illinois. He was active in the Boy Scouts. He was a Troop leader in Troop 12 in Emge School. He was awarded the Silver Beaver by the Okaw Valley Council. He was president of the Rose Society of Greater St. Louis and he was a charter member and past president of the Belleville Area Rose Society. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Millstadt Senior Center.
