Robert Harold Glass' Obituary
Robert Harold Glass, 74, of Millstadt, Ill., born, October 7, 1940 in Kuttawa, KY., died on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville, Ill.
Robert worked for A.E. Lottes as a parts delivery man. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., and the Millstadt Commercial Club where he ran the poker stand for 33 years at the picnics. Robert was also a United States Army Veteran.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Amos and Lucy, nee Waters, Glass, his son-in-law, Floyd Poelker and his sister, Sue Carol Reeder.
Robert is survived by his wife Shirley Glass, nee McClure, his daughters, Helen (Dave) Siebenberger and Missy (Jeff) Griffin, his six granddaughters, Jennifer (Josh) Schmitz, Jessica (Alex) Schmidt, Stephanie (Todd) Rick, Jaclyn, Hanna and Madison Griffin, his brother-in-law, Bob (Kathy) McClure, he is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Rev. Darrell Weber, officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in South St. Louis County Missouri.
