OBITUARY
Robert Edward George
Robert Edward George, better known as "Ed", age 71 of Millstadt, IL, passed away on January 4, 2025 at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital, Saint Louis, MO. He was born February 20, 1953, in Du Quoin, IL. to the late Robert "Bob" and Delores "Dee" (Shelton) George.
After graduating from high school Ed started working construction and ended up becoming a master carpenter eventually retiring from Ives Construction. With his carpentry skills Ed loved to design and build different things for his friends and family. Ed also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his beloved grandkids.
Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Sherry, two children; son, Jeremy George and daughter Molly George (Jimmy Maurer), two grandchildren; Oscar and Julia, sisters: Debra Johnson (Bud) and Victoria Bush (Danny) brother, Marty George (Sandy) along with several other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday January 9, 2025 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm with memorial service immediately following at 2:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home, Dupo,IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Donation Processing Center, P.O.
