Robert F. Doiron's Obituary
Robert F. Doiron, 90 years of Red Bud, IL., passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL. He was born August 16, 1934, in Modoc, IL., to Francis & Leona, nee Albert, Doiron.
Robert worked out of the Operating Engineers Local 520 as a crane operator. Robert served in the Army from 1956-1958 and was a paratrooper of the 101st Airborne Division from Fort. Campbell, KY., and he was a member of Kaskaskia Lodge 86 A.F & A. M. Bob and Lou Ann owned & operated the laundromat in Prairie du Rocher for 5 years and after selling the laundromat they moved to their farm in Modoc and later moved to Red Bud.
Surviving are his wife Lou Ann, nee Schoenberger, Doiron, his children, Susan (Steve) Falkenhein, Barbara (Keith) Miskle, Lynn (Jim) Kleinschmidt, and Dennis & Calvin Doiron, his grandchildren, Brandon (Sarah) Bush, Jennifer Falkenhein, Jill (Troy) Kueker and Cassie (Chase) O'Hara, his great grandchildren, Emma Schneider, Aydin & Austin Bush, Owen and Macy Kueker, his great great grandson, Westin Robert Bush, his step-sister, Elaine Maleki, nieces & nephew, Susan, Darius & Soheila, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his half-sister, Janice (Kimzey) Bagsby, his step-brother, Curtis Kimzey, his sister-in-law, Judy Hillyard, his brother-in-law, Bo Casten and his nephew, Brad Casten.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with Masonic service beginning at 4:00 p.m., at Leesman Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL. Robert will be cremated following the services and inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Prairie du Rocher, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude's Children Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
