Richard Swan's Obituary
Richard Swan, 76, of Dupo, Illinois, passed away on August 9th, 2022. He was born May 27th, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents, Murray and Velma (Fancher) Swan.
Richard was loved by many. He loved to go fishing, search for treasures along the Mississippi river with his best friend, Steve. He enjoyed mushroom hunting. He was a lover of nature. He was a very generous and loving man to his family and friends. He enjoyed his cigars and homemade wine. He was known for his sarcastic wit. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Dupo American Legion Post #485. His memory will live in the hearts and minds of many.
Surviving him is his significant other, Linda Kraeger, his sister, Connie (Roger) Rutter, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Swan and his brother, Raymond Orr.
A life celebration will be held at a later date.
In lieu of customary remembrances, we requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the family. Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home.
