Richard L. Rapert's Obituary
Richard L. Rapert, 91 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1934, in Success, AR.
Rich was a retired crane operator form Madison Metal Service and a member of the Teamsters Local 688. Rich was also a member of Calvary General Baptist Church in North Dupo, he was a musician for 35 years, and he was a real kind man always willing to help anyone out. Rich served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1956-1958.
Surviving are his son, David Rapert, his step-sons, John (Gloria) Howard and Kelly Howard, his grandchildren, Christina Howard and Molly (Jerry) Ball, his great-grandchildren, Oaklyn and Halen, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Rapert, his parents, Nuton and Estell, nee Knowton, Rapert, his son, Michael Lee Rapert, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, 9:30 am - 10:30 am, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL, Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday October 20, 2025, at Leesman Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Mintner, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
