Regina M. Wolfmeier's Obituary
Regina M. Wolfmeier, nee Hankley, 60 of Millstadt, Ill., formerly of Belleville, Ill., born March 12, 1956 in Springfield, Ill., passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.
Regina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had worked at the Millstadt school and was a PTA member for many years. After that she was an Emergency Room Secretary at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill., for over 30 years.
Regina was preceded in death by her brother, John Paul Hankley Jr., her mother, June Hankley and her father-in-law, Roy Wolfmeier.
Regina is survived by her husband and the Love of her life of 40 years, Ronald Wolfmeier, her daughters, Reshell (Robert) Schmidt and Rebecca (Matthew) Schmidt, her son, Robbie (Sarah Blevins) Wolfmeier, all of Millstadt, Ill., seven grandchildren, Andria Vilchez, Claudia Vilchez, Hunter Blevins, Jacob Schmidt, Jackson Schmidt, Isabella Schmidt & Roy Wolfmeier all of Millstadt, Ill., her father, John Hankley of Belleville, Ill., her two brothers, Tom (Leslie) Hankley of Belleville, Ill., and Mark (Jill) Hankley of East Carondelet, Ill., her mother-in-law, Dorothy Wolfmeier of Millstadt, Ill., brother-in-law, Robert (Marge) Wolfmeier of Millstadt, Ill., and sister-in-law, Marlene (Dave) Dow of Columbus, IN., She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and valued friends.
She will be sorely missed not only by her family and close friends, but by everyone with whom she came in contact. Gina was a pleasure and joy to be with and showed love in everything she did. Her loss will be acutely felt by those who knew her, but the memory of her that stays is one of caring, faith and enduring Love.
Memorials: memorials may be made to Zion Evangelical Church, 117 W. White St., Millstadt, IL., 62260 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
Visitation: Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Rev. Darrell Weber, officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Ill.
