Raymond W. "Chick" Jahr , 97, of Columbia, Illinois, passed away at Columbia Convalescent Center, Columbia, IL. He was born in Moredock Lake, IL, the son of Herman and Nora (Frank) Jahr. He was a retired Supervisor at Monsanto Chemical Co., Sauget, IL, and had been a member of the Waterloo Country Club, American Legion Post #581, Columbia Gymnastic Assoc., Scottish Rite - Valley of Southern IL, Ainad Temple, Columbia Blue Lodge #474 - AF & AM, State of Illinois Department of Aeronautics, Airplane Owners and Pilots' Assoc., and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Airman and Pilot Identification. He served as a Navy veteran of WWII. He was married to the late Ina Mae (Crowe) Jahr. They were married on October 26, 1942, at St. Louis, MO.
