Raymond C. Herold's Obituary
Raymond C. Herold, 90 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on June 18, 2021 at Integrity of Columbia, IL. He was born October 9, 1930, in East St. Louis, IL, son of the late Oscar, and Maude, nee Cowley, Herold. He was married to Nancy, nee Davis, Herold, who survives him. They were married January 12, 1961, in East St. Louis, IL.
Raymond had retired from Monsanto Corp. He was a member of American Legion Post 581, Columbia, IL, and was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran. He was a talented machinist and wood craftsman. Ray was a loving husband and father.
Also, surviving are his daughter, Diana (David) Hopkins of Fenton, MO; son, David Herold of Columbia, IL; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Kozma of Columbia, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Services will be held following visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Chaplain Andrea Herman officiating. Entombment will follow at the Valhalla Gardens Of Memory, Belleville, IL.
