Rod was preceded in death by his parents: J.B. Honey & Effie, nee Hooker, Marlen and his brother: Norman Honey. He is survived by his daughter: Karen (Debra Sarensen) Castle of Vergenes, IL., his sons: Bryan (Ann) Honey of Middleburg, FL. & Rawland (Mary) Honey II of Corinth, TX., his step-daughter: Althea Rettelle of Corinth, TX., his grandchildren: Dustin (Christina) Castle, Alex Honey, Katie Honey, & Richard Honey, his great grandchildren: Anastasia Castle & Meagan Cameron, his sisters: Virginia Reddick & Faith Ann Feltmeyer, and he is also survived by other relatives & friends. Rod was a horse trader/trainer. He was a member of the Columbia Masonic Blue Lodge #474 A.F. & A.M. in Columbia, IL. and the Bluffside Saddle Club. He was a United States Army Veteran. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
