Rachel Christine Buhler's Obituary
Rachel Christine (Price) Buhler, 82 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO. She was born May 17, 1941, in Tanner, MO.
On, October 27, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, MO she was united in marriage to Larry Gene Buhler and to this union two children were born. They shared sixty-one years together.
She is a member of Seventh Day Church of God. Rachel enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting hats, woodworking, gardening, being an avid coin collector, working at the local food pantry's, making jewelry,, cooking, fishing, traveling, antiquing, and she was a jack of all trades but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Larry G. Buhler of Dupo, IL, her daughter, Sherry (Joel Fetlmeyer) Vanover of Dupo, IL, her son, Larry (Holly) Buhler of Valmeyer, IL, her four grandchildren, Jeremy (Courtney) Vanover, Desiree (Jeff) Mosser, Kendra (Dustin) Chapman, and Paige (Mike) Shirley, her seven great-grandchildren, Izabella, Cal, Kendall, Remy, Briar, Kacey, and Lincoln, her three siblings, Rua Louise Price, Roselee Adams, and Mary Wright, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Elmer Price, her mother, Roxanne Price, and her seven siblings, Carrie Price, Florine Price, Albert Price, Leora Price, Juanita Price, Luedell Price and John Price.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home - Dupo, IL. Services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 7:00pm, at Leesman Funeral Home, Dupo, IL with Pastor John Rigenbach officiating. Graveside service will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:30 am at the Coon Island Cemetery, Neelyville, MO, there will be a procession leaving the funeral home at 9:00 am.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Siteman Cancer Center - Washington University CB 1204 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105.
