Phyllis Ann Karn's Obituary
Phyllis Ann Karn, nee Swartz 91 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Sherbrooke Village in St. Louis, MO. She was born August 15, 1934 in East St. Louis, IL.
Phyllis was a longtime member of the 1st Congregational Church in Dupo, IL. She retired as a secretary after many years in the Dupo Community School District and she was an avid animal lover.
Surviving are her sons, Robert (Melissa) Karn, & Brad (Kim) Karn, her grandchildren, Alaina (Josh) Scherle & Marla (Michael) Kettler, her great grandchildren, Ava, Ian & Maizy Scherle, Parker, Ethan & Lydia Kettler, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Karn, her parents, Robert and Jewel, nee Crain, Swartz, and her sister, Johanna (Jack) Reichert.
Private interment will be in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
