Peter M. Sotak's Obituary
Peter Michael Sotak, 67 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on April 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Health Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born February 21, 1950, in Gary, IN, son of the late Julius and Diana, nee Jurasina, Szotak. He was married to Gail, nee Jacobsmeyer, Sotak, who survives him. They were married August 20, 1983, in St. Louis, MO.
Peter had been retired as a quality control manager from Brown Shoe Co., St. Louis, MO
Also surviving are his daughters, Samantha (Justin) Myers of Columbia, IL, and Jennifer (Cesar Acosta) Sotak of Columbia, IL, granddaughters, Brooklyn and Ava (to be born), sister, Judy Brefeld of Cincinnati, OH, brother-in-law, Ron Budzielek of Hobart, IN, father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Ann Jacobsmeyer, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary Jacobsmeyer, Tim (Nancy), Tom, and Kevin (Mary) Jacobsmeyer, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is also preceded in death by, sister, Diana Budzielek, sister-in-law, Chris Jacobsmeyer, and brother-in-law, Joseph Brefeld.
Peter's remains will be cremated.
A Memorialization and Celebration of Peter's life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Sand Bank School, 11832 Bluff Road, Columbia, IL.
