Peggy Lu Rhyne's Obituary
Peggy Lu (Bartlett) Rhyne, 82 years, of Cahokia, Illinois, passed away on February 26th, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born September 7th, 1941 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Charles Eli and Ada Marie (Spain) Bartlett.
Peggy enjoyed Cardinals baseball, Elvis, and her dog, Chico. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and she especially enjoyed dining out.
Surviving her is her daughter, Janie "Mitzi" Rhyne, four sons; Michael Thomas Rhyne, Bob Wayne Rhyne, Daniel Edward Rhyne and Richard Todd Rhyne, grandchildren; Chase Kenner, Lindsey Townsend, Tyler Kenner, Michael Thomas Rhyne Jr., Emma Rhyne, Bob Wayne Rhyne Jr., Chelsey Rhyne, Roxanne Hendrix, Brandy Marie Rhyne, Daniel Edward Rhyne Jr., Alyssa Rhyne and Lexi Rhyne, 13 great-grandchildren, brother Frank Bartlett, along with other relatives and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ernest Rhyne, parents; Charles and Ada Bartlett, grandson, Richard "Skip" Wolf Rhyne, brothers; Charles Jr., Jack, and sisters; Ellen, Agnes, Delores, and Francine.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Illinois. Services will be held Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo with Rev. Larry Ridenour officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Fisher House PO Box 998, Fenton, MO 63026.
