Pearl A. Griebel's Obituary
Pearl A Griebel, 95, formerly of Millstadt, passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2024, at Oakhill, Waterloo, Illinois. Pearl (nee Kissel) Griebel was born on February 27, 1929, in Fults, Illinois, to Charles Kissel and Rosa (nee Dick) Kissel.
She was baptized at St. John’s Church in Fults, Illinois, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church of Christ in Millstadt, Illinois. She was a member of the Millstadt Home Extension. She enjoyed playing cards with friends.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Griebel, her parents, Charles and Rosa Kissel, and three siblings: Arthur Kissel, Esther Schottel, and Alvin Kissel.
Pearl Griebel is survived by a daughter, Linda (Robert) Yagge of Millstadt, a son, Dennis Griebel of Maryville; four grandchildren, Michelle Wessel, Beth (Kyle) Conrod, Nicholas Griebel and Megan Griebel, and 5 great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Zion Evangelical Church, Millstadt, Illinois
A visitation will be held at Leesman Funeral Home, Millstadt, Illinois. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27th from 10:00 am -11:00 am. The funeral service will immediately follow. Pearl will be buried at Saint Paul Evangelical Park/Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, Illinois.
