Patsy Ann Schoenbeck's Obituary
Patsy Ann Schoenbeck, 90 years of Marissa, IL, passed away on May 2, 2025, at her residence. She was born on May 5, 1934, in Coutlerville, IL.
Fresh out of high school, Patsy worked for Church & Hamilton Insurance Agency from 1952-1954. She was an administrator and bookkeeper for Marissa Sheltered Care Center for 25 years that was owned by her mother. On September 6, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger A. Schoenbeck Sr. Later in life she went to school at Belleville Area College to become a beautician and owned Calico Corner, a hair salon and boutique. She retired from the hair salon in 1992. Following retirement Patsy managed to stay busy. She loved to quilt, making several over the years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, as well as playing games on her iPad. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling on league in New Athens. Her and Roger enjoyed many motorcycle adventures with their friends. Patsy loved watching baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. The biggest love of Patsy's life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Roger (Debbie) Schoenbeck & Darrell Schoenbeck, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Birkner, Roger (Casey) Schoenbeck, III, Lindsay (Neil) Beckett, Brock (Whitney) Schoenbeck, Madison Schoenbeck & Mason Schoenbeck, her great grandchildren, Shelby Fetterer, Ethan Schoenbeck, Bradley Michael Schoenbeck, Brody Beckett, Adelaide Beckett, Brooke Beckett, Sydney Beckett, Kayden Schoenbeck, and Oliver Schoenbeck; Sisters, Martha (Glenn) Myers and Karen Brayfield-Parsons; Brother-in-Law, Richard Schoenbeck; numerous nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger A. Schoenbeck, Sr.; Sons, Michael "Boo" Schoenbeck & Bradley Schoenbeck; Father, W. Dean Brayfield; Mother, Bonnie (nee Bagwill) Juenger; Stepfather, Melvin Juenger; Sister, Susan Patton; Sister in infancy, Bonita Elaine; Brother, Dale Brayfield; Niece, Suzanne Patton; Sister-in-Law, Beverly Schoenbeck.
A very special thanks to daughter-in-law, Debbie Schoenbeck for being Patsy's caregiver, chauffer and best-friend. Also, to Jennifer and Doug Birkner for making Patsy's last wish come true, by helping care for her in her home.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin, IL. Services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin, IL, with Pastor Brian Nowak officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Baldwin, IL.
