She was born in Belleville, IL, the daughter of the late Elmer and Alberta (Bettis) Keim. She was proud of her Native Cherokee heritage, and loved animals. She was married to the late Willard M. Hayden, Sr. They were married on March 12, 1981, at Las Vegas, NV. He passed away December 14, 2001.
