Orville J C Nobbe's Obituary
Orville J. C. Nobbe, 86 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012. He was born in Waterloo, IL, the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Eitmann) Nobbe. Orville, along with his wife Annette, were the former owners and operators of Breezy Hill Tavern, Waterloo, IL. He was a graduate of Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and a member of VFW Post #6504 Metzger-Crook Waterloo, IL, where he was one of the founding members. Orville served in the U.S. Air Force (formerly Army Air Corps), and was a Veteran of WW II. He was married to the late Annette (Descher) Nobbe. They were married on June 16, 1951, at Cahokia, IL. She had passed away April 9, 2012.
