Nip was preceded in death by his parents: Edward & Marie Hankamer and Brothers & Sisters. Nip is survived by his wife: Betty Hankamer of Dupo, IL., his son: Stephen (Beth) Hankamer of St. Louis, MO., his grandchildren: Erich Hankamer & Logan Hankamer, his sister: Rosie Raeber, he is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends. Nip was a POW in WWII from February 1943 to February 1945 in Germany. He was a member of the VFW Post 6368 in Dupo, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
