Norman Dale Cannon's Obituary
Cahokia- Norman Dale Cannon, 75, of Cahokia, passed away at 9:10 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at his home.
Norman was born on September 2, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to Floyd and Pauline E. (Fargo) Cannon. He worked as a shipping clerk for many years at American Pulverizer in St. Louis. He was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District # 9 in St. Louis.
He was Lutheran and enjoyed spending time at flea markets and collecting items. He also loved animals, especially dogs.
He is survived by his sons- Norman D. Cannon, Jr. of Collinsville and Jeff Cannon of St. Louis County, daughter- Lisa Beck of Collinsville, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sisters- Geri LaChance and husband Fred of Washington, MO, Irene Gentles of Piedmont, MO and Pauline Cradic and husband Clifford of Cahokia Heights and brothers- Ronald Cannon and wife Portia of Shiloh, Robert Cannon and wife Linda of Baldwin, IL and Wayne Cannon and wife Niena of Imperial, MO. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Mark Cannon, sisters- Leona Ulrich, and Catherine Murden and brother- Floyd “Sonny” Cannon.
His wish was to be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial arrangements were entrusted to Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo.
