Norma Elizabeth Sopp, 102, of St. Louis, MO, born, June 8, 1914 in Maeystown, IL, passed away, Friday, April 28, 2017 at Green Park Nursing Home in St. Louis, MO.
Norma was very active in her church, Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL where she was a member of the women’s guild and led a bible study at her condo until 6 months ago. She was always very active and close with her friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Sopp, parents, Louis and Elenora, nee Hartmann, Faus, daughter, Nancy Sopp, 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and 2 siblings in infancy.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Linda (Mike) Frisch, grandchildren, Chris Frisch and his significant other Jessica Walsh, Thomas Frisch, great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Jenna, Alex and Jaden. She is also survived by many extended family members and countless friends.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Church of Christ Elevator Fund or Guide Dogs of America.
Visitation will bel on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Funeral will be on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL. with Pastor Todd Mushaney, officiating.
Burial will be in Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo, IL.
