OBITUARY
Nelson Russell Sutter
Nelson Russell Sutter, 69 years of Dupo, IL, passed away at 10:28 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 17, 1950, to Everett and Joyce (Bidigare) Sutter in Detroit, MI.
Nelson served in both United States Marine Corps and Air Force. He was a Vietnam veteran. Nelson loved to fish and enjoyed gambling.
Surviving are two children, Ruth (Joseph) Mcgonigal, James (Ella) Sutter; one sister, Lisa Burton, one brother, Jeff (Tami) Sutter; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Jake Germain) Gayder, Stewart Stahnke, Vicky Kelly, Jessica Sutter, Alyssa Sutter, Rebecca Sutter, Jenna Sutter; three great-grandchildren, Dakota Gayder, Liam Germain, and LeLand Germain; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah Sutter, one daughter, Christine Sutter; infant son, Eric Sutter, parents, Everett and Joyce Sutter, two Brothers, Gilbert M. Sutter and Jason Sutter.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24th, at Leesman Funeral Home, Dupo, IL. Procession will follow to interment at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
