Nelda "Jean" Johnson's Obituary
Nelda "Jean" Johnson, 81 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on June 21, 2024 at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O' Fallon, IL. She was born August 5, 1942, in Brosley, MO.
Jean was an avid reader ( read her Bible on a daily basis), she enjoyed crocheting, watching old westerns, going to flea markets and yard sales.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, George C Johnson, Jr., her daughters, Robyn S. Johnson and Sandra Johnson, her son, Jason (Kimberly) Johnson, her grandchildren, Michelle Hinton, Josef Harrison, and Sophia Johnson, her great-grandson, Jax Barringer, her brother, Donald (Sue) Maddox, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Hazel Maddox and her grandson, Zacquiri Addem Johnson;
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday June 27, 2024, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL, with Rick Lay, officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
