Mildred M. Zavadil's Obituary
Mildred M. Zavadil, 96 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 26, 2018 at Mercy South, St. Louis, MO. She was born November 3, 1922, in Sugarloaf Twp., IL. She was married to the late Arnold J. Zavadil. They were married August 4, 1946. He had passed away February 4, 1995.
Mildred was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL. She had retired from The Boeing Co., St. Louis, MO. Mildred cherished time with her family, camping, and was an avid Cardinals fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Wayne) Vernum of Washington, MO, and Debra Karrasch of Ballwin, MO; son, Michael (Gail) Zavadil of Columbia, IL, grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, and Daniel Zavadil, Scott, and Michael Vernum, David (Jennifer) and Jennifer Karrasch; two great-grandsons, Chase Vernum, and Evan Karrasch; two sisters, Betty (Tom) Pierson of Columbia, IL, and JoAnn (Robert) Crowe of Wildwood, MO, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Sadie, nee Keller, Raeber; two brothers, Lloyd, and Allen Raeber, and three sisters, Fern Ruth, Jeanette Raeber, and Ruth Keim.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2018, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 227 Goodhaven, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, at the church, with Pastor Stephen Krenz, officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Millstadt, IL.
