Mildred Elizabeth Kempf's Obituary
Mildred Elizabeth Kempf, nee Osick, 100, of Dupo, Ill., born December 23, 1914 in East
Carondelet, Ill, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Oak Hill in Waterloo, Ill.
Mildred had worked 25 years as a cashier at Walter Nolte’s Market in Dupo, Ill., and the Brass Rail Restaurant for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in East Carondelet, Ill., she was the church organist for 50 years, taught Sunday School for 25 years, she was past President and Secretary of the Holy Cross Ladies Aid, she was past President and Secretary of LWML Zone Level and past President of LWML District Level.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Lester A. Kempf, her parents, John and Carrie, nee Wedler, Osick, and her brothers, Clarence and Leroy Osick.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Clyde (Terry) Kempf of Dupo, Ill, and Charles (Rita) Kempf of Eldon, MO., her grandchildren, Robin (Ed) Fambrough , Angela Ballard, Charles (Amy) Kempf, Amy (Jack) Funderburk, her great grandchildren, Kelly (Ryan) Famuliner, Samuel Ballard, Josh Ballard, Charles Kempf, Carlie Kempf, Samantha, Luke & Jackson Funderburk, her great great granddaughter, Ranger Grace Famuliner, her sister, Jan Barker, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Muskopf, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., and on Thursday, November 12, 2015 an hour before the service at the church.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in East Carondelet, Ill., with Rev. William Schmidt, officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Church Cemetery in Millstadt, Ill.
