Mildred C. Range's Obituary
Mrs. Range was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Range who passed away in 2006, parents Dan and Octavia Touchette, nee Byron: two sisters, Rosemary Reinhardt, and Marie Schaefer: several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a great grandson. Surviving are her children; three daughters, Faye (Dale) LaBrier of Troy, Il, Pauline Range of Millstadt, and friend Kai Andersen, Judy (Everett) Hamilton of Columbia, four sons, Robert (Pat) Range of Collinsville, Paul Range of Millstadt, Jim (Sharon) Range of Millstadt, Gary (Toni) Range of Freeburg, fifteen grandchildren, Carolyn Enboden, Diane (Rande) Gibbs, Dale A. LaBrier, Debbie (Jeff) Crossley, Kim (Gary) Konkel, Greg (Kathy) Hamilton, Doug (Kara Le Chien) Hamilton, Karen (Jeff) Lautz, Susan (Stefan) Christian, Christina (Andrew) Hamilton, Lyndsey (Ryan) Mehrtens, Brooke Range, Bradley (Teri) Range, Eric Range, and Rachael (Michael) Collins; twenty-eight great grandchildren, three great-great granchildren, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Range, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Range and her husband were dedicated farmers who spent their entire life farming. She had a love and a passion for cooking for her family as well as any helping hands on the farm. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, needlework, canning, love for animals and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoyed watching her sonsÆ baseball and softball games and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Mrs. Range and her husband traveled for many years in their motor-home spending the winter months in Florida. She will be sadly missed by all who enjoyed the gift of knowing her. Mrs. Range was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Church in Centreville, Illinois and a quilter for the church until its closing, then became a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois.
