Dear Joy, This is a sad shock to hear that Michael has gone so young. I feel a frustrated regret that I haven't had the chance to see him as adults and after much 'life'. You know that I loved him and thrived in our friendship in High School.
He was absolutely brimming with creative energy, love and creativity. He was talented and brave. I have many memories of delighting in our conversations, his depth and passion for life.
I remember him bantering Shakespearian dialogue with Larry Halstead in the halls of Gibault - with a fluidity, humor and charm that would have earned him time with the scribe had he been born in another era. I adored him.
Michael was a unique and precious soul. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wish I could be there to give you 'un gran abrazo' and talk. Many memories. With love, Laura Kelly
