My deepest sympathy goes out to the Ellis family. I always thought a great deal of Michael. He always did a very professional job as a substitute teacher at MCS and had a great rapport with the students. We lost a good man!
So many memories of Mike that it's hard to post just one. I first met Mike at Chanute AFB in 1973 when we were both Phase II lab students. Following training, I was assigned to Scott AFB in early 1974 and Mike followed me there a few months later. One my earliest memories was being best man at his wedding in 1975. It took 19 years before he became a part of my wedding party in 1994. We stayed special friends all those years and more. Mike helped me move to Kentucky in 2006 and pretty much every time I would come back to Illinois, I would make a point of stopping in Milstadt and visiting Mike and Shirley. This transfer, Mike went first and I'll be the one to follow and renew our friendship. Until then, I'm going to miss you dear friend!
